One Solution is working to solve large-scale global challenges by helping individuals, communities and systems to change from within. We believe that educating people about the mind so they can reconnect to their innate well-being, resilience and capacity for new ideas is the most efficient and sustainable solution to any problem.

After more than a decade working with individuals and organizational leadership teams, focusing on education about the mind and our internal resources, we realized that a pervasive misunderstanding about the mind and the resulting lack of well-being in the world could be identified as the source of almost every problem that humanity currently faces, small or large. War, poverty, distribution of resources, gun violence, failing systems, you name it. If you travel far enough upstream you’ll discover an unhealthy misuse of the mind at the source of all of them. The good news, we realized, is once you see the source of something, you can treat it. One Solution began with a single conference in Oslo, Norway in 2016 which brought together global leaders and consultants who deal with everything from refugees in Gaza, to victims of the earthquake in Nepal, to corruption in the Kenyan police department, to explore how shifting our focus to the mind might be the key to affecting change more rapidly and preventing the perpetuation of these issues. The hope, inspiration and collaboration that came out of that event is what led to the creation of One Solution as a global non-profit with projects and partnerships in cities and countries across the globe.

Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood and probably themselves will not be realized.
We’re only just beginning… It is our hope that with vision and determination we will get closer and closer to creating a much needed shift in the world. One that is away from forever dealing with the symptoms of a society that lacks the basic understanding of unconditional innate resilience and the capacity to solve our problems, toward a world in which we know, behave and create societies from a foundation of mental well-being, equality, creativity and collaboration. We feel strongly that this is not a naive or impossible vision, but rather an evolutionary imperative that we hope to foster and facilitate through our work.
